ph3About the Role /h3pThe IQGeo Europe Sales team is seeking a Sales Engineer in Italy to support sales activity by providing technical expertise of software products and the Telco/Utility industry to existing and potential customers. This role is customer-facing and supports the Sales team and industry executives during the sales process. The role will be key in formulating customer requirements and our proposed solution, responsible for the definition, implementation of utilities product demonstrations to customers and supporting the bid process. Creating and demonstrating how the software works to solve real problems will require your ingenuity, creativity, and strong communication skills. /ppTravel to IQGeo offices and client sites may be required as part of this role. /ph3Duties Responsibilities /h3ulliPre-Sales SupportulliPartner with account directors to qualify opportunities and define customer-specific solution strategies. /liliDeliver compelling product demonstrations aligned with customer needs. /liliAssist in creating technical proposals, RFP responses, and detailed solution architectures. /li /ul /liliTechnical ExpertiseulliMaintain deep knowledge of IQGeo's platform and its application to telecom and utility workflows (e.g., fiber design, network operations). /liliUnderstand customer environments (GIS, OSS/BSS, field operations) and integration points. /liliKeep up to date with industry trends, technology, and competitor products. /li /ul /liliConsultative EngagementulliConduct discovery sessions to identify customer challenges, ROI goals, and business drivers. /liliTranslate customer requirements into IQGeo-specific solutions and articulate clear business value.
/liliBuild technical relationships and stakeholder advocacy /li /ul /liliEnablement AdvocacyulliSupport channel partners with technical guidance and training. /liliRepresent IQGeo at industry events, webinars, and customer workshops. /li /ul /liliFeedback LoopulliCapture customer feedback and communicate functional requirements to product management. /liliContribute to continuous improvement of demo environments, sales tools, and technical documentation. /li /ul /li /ulh3Essential Skills Experience /h3ulliAbility to build demonstrations to present to the customer (end users, technical experts, IT experts, senior management) and internal Sales Directors. /liliExperience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), web mapping (ESRI, QGIS, Smallworld) or visual AI. /liliIndustry experience with Telco/Electric networks and optionally Gas /liliFamiliarity with related industry solutions /liliExcellent listening and oral and written communication skills; the ability to articulate technical solutions and how they can solve customer's business problems to all audiences from the very technical to non-technical. /liliExcellent sales and customer service skills. /liliFluency in English and Italian is required (Spanish speaking along English and Italian would be desirable) /li /ulh3Education Qualifications /h3ulliA Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant Industry, Engineering or Technical subject.
