Custodian Rome Temple (Italy) Temporary, 6 Months (Full-time, 40 Hours/part-time, 20 Hours)

To help the Church accomplish its religious mission, the Custodian ensures the temple and other buildings reflects the beauty, cleanliness, and sacred nature of the temple experience by maintaining standards established by the First Presidency. Employees are expected to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and Church leaders and live principles of honesty, integrity, and morality. They maintain a spirit of religious compassion towards others and an attitude of devotion to God.
- Clean offices, restrooms, public areas, etc. as instructed including fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, mirrors, air vents, furniture, equipment, windows, walls, doors etc.
- Clean carpets, rugs, upholstery, tile and drapes.
- Sanitize areas, furnishings, or fixtures as instructed.
- Dust mop and damp mop floors.
- Dust and clean furnishings, light fixtures, window sills, walls, etc.
- Dispose of trash, waste, and other materials.
- Perform emergency cleanups including floods, bodily fluids, spills, etc.
- Move furniture, supplies, and miscellaneous equipment.
- Operate mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, large scrubbers and sweepers, power washers, and extraction equipment, etc.
- Perform work under general supervision.



Perform self-directed work while handling moderately complex issues; refers more complicated issues to higher-level staff.
- May require working in damp, dusty, and/or dirty areas and working on ladders/scaffolding or in high places. Requires work with various professional cleaning solvents and chemicals.
- Report safety or security issues and needed repairs to management.
- Restock supplies.
- Coordinate work of volunteers, missionaries and contractors.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Clean all assigned areas to set standards.
- Remove and replace draperies, chandeliers or lights, etc. and assist in setting up meeting rooms as requested.
- Maintain good public relations. Report problems to supervisor.
- Work with cleaning agents and chemicals with the use of rubber gloves, masks or other safety equipment.
- Work may involve the use of motorized equipment such as a vacuum and buffer.
- May also be required to use hand tools or motorized tools.
- Some technical understanding is helpful for this role.
- This position requires fluency in **Italian**and a basic understanding of **English**.
