About the Role The Tour Guy is a tour operator and travel marketplace, and we're looking for a Marketing Director to lead our marketing organization and drive the next stage of our growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines strategic vision with the drive to execute. You’ll expand our demand-generation efforts, lead a talented team across social, PR, and performance marketing, and partner closely with business leadership to turn company initiatives into marketing campaigns that move the needle.
As we continue to add new trip markets, you'll be responsible for making sure every launch is backed by a coordinated, scalable marketing push. From paid campaigns to email automation to newsletter-driven traffic. The ideal candidate is a proven people manager with a track record of scaling marketing reach and revenue in a fast-moving, multi-channel environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage our team carrying social, video, PR, ads, CRM, blog, and newsletter.
- Partner with the Head of Business Operations and Head of Marketplace (PTR) to understand upcoming business initiatives, including new trip market launches, and translate them into coordinated marketing campaigns.
- Design and oversee full-funnel campaigns for each new market launch, spanning paid advertising, email automation, and newsletter/"instant traffic" campaigns.
- Own overall marketing performance: set KPIs and budgets across channels, track results through weekly workflows, and report progress and recommendations to company leadership.
- Scale our already strong marketing playbook and processes into new markets.
- Champion a content strategy centered on self-created and UGC content to build brand authenticity and reach.
- Identify and execute opportunities to scale marketing reach, grow sales, and drive overall business performance.
Desired Experience
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including 5+ years in a leadership or management role overseeing multi-discipline teams (e.g., social, PR, paid media, email/CRM).
- Experience in travel, tourism, hospitality, or online marketplace/e-commerce businesses strongly preferred.
- Experience managing paid media programs using Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager.
- Experience with email marketing/marketing automation platforms, specifically Klaviyo.
- Experience with web analytics and attribution tools including Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, Looker Studio, etc.
- Experience planning and launching marketing campaigns for new products, markets, or regions at scale.
- Experience leveraging AI to create automation, workflows, and actionable reports

- Budget planning and resource allocation across multiple marketing channels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to build and scale repeatable marketing processes and playbooks.
- Working knowledge of social/UGC content strategy and PR fundamentals.
What we offer:
- Permanent Contract
- Salary Range: RAL €65,000 - €100,000
- Meal vouchers (€7 per day) in accordance with internal company policy
