Role Description The Intern Buyer supports the Purchasing team in sourcing and procurement activities, working alongside senior buyers and internal stakeholders.
Main Activities
- Support the preparation and management of RFQs
- Collect and analyze supplier quotations and cost data
- Assist in supplier evaluation and sourcing recommendations
- Support the preparation of contracts and purchasing documentation
- Help monitor supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery)
- Support administrative tasks (purchase orders, reports, presentations)
Learning objectives
- Gain a solid understanding of the end-to-end purchasing and sourcing process, including RFQs, supplier selection, and basic contract management
- Develop analytical skills through cost analysis, supplier comparison, and performance monitoring (cost, quality, delivery)
- Learn how to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and interact with suppliers in an international environment
- Build proficiency in purchasing tools and systems (Excel, SAP) while strengthening professional communication and organizational skills
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Law or similar
- C1 proficiency in English
- Interest in procurement, sourcing and supply chain topics
- Knowledge and interest of automotive products and technologies
- Proactive and results-driven
- Good analytical and organizational skills
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Good knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
