- 20%And moreMain Purpose of the Role:The General Manager – Freight Operations, Italy will take full ownership of the country's freight forwarding operations, leading a multi?site team, strengthening customer and vendor relationships, and ensuring the delivery of efficient, profitable, and high?quality service.
The role is accountable for operational performance, commercial alignment, and business growth across Italy while acting as the key liaison between local operations and the global HQ.Responsibilities of the General Manager – Freight Operations,
ItalyLead and develop a small freight operations team across multiple locations in Italy to ensure efficient day-to-day performanceCoordinate with internal network offices overseas, Centre of Excellence (COE) and agentsBuild and maintain strong customer relationships and act as the escalation point for key customer issuesManage relationships with shipping lines, co-loaders, and other logistics vendorsPrepare and manage competitive freight forwarding quotations in consultation with internal stakeholdersCollaborate with the sales and commercial teams to align operational capabilities with growth goalsOversee P&L; and ensure profitabilityDrive business growth and operational improvementsParticipate in all audits, quality and excellence initiativesExperience xysqume Required for the General Manager – Freight Operations, ItalyFluency in English & Italian is essential to be considered10
