/p h3Saipem Offshore Construction (SOC) /h3 pis a wholly owned subsidiary of Saipem S.p.A. SOC brings together all operational activities in Italy related to fabrication, technical services, maintenance, and logistics, providing essential support for the execution of offshore construction and offshore wind projects.
/p h3Purpose Of The Position /h3 pAs an Ocean Engineer, you will be part of our Department Fano Offshore Engineering Hub, within the Asset Based Services (no Drilling) Business Line.
You will support subsea engineering activities related to the design of offshore pipelines, subsea structures and offshore fixed facilities, and marine related studies, with a focus on metocean aspects.
/p h3How Can You Support Us?
/h3 pMeteo-marine design activities for offshore pipelines, subsea structures and offshore fixed facilities, i.e. definition of meteo-marine parameters for engineering activities and marine operations planning.
This includes interaction with the relevant engineering functions to identify specific design requirements and conducting metocean studies tailored to those needs and the current project phase.
The role also involves modelling simulation of marine conditions and marine morphodynamics phenomena.
/p pExecute the activities within the area of responsibility; /p ul liIdentify and manage project needs for basic metocean data/information /li liDevelop metocean design criteria according to project requirements and industry norms and regulations /li liPerform statistical and probabilistic metocean data analysis and numerical modelling of wind/waves/currents /li liPerform numerical modelling of long and short term coastal and seabed evolution and interaction structure-seabed /li liSupervise metocean survey data collection /li /ul h3What are we looking for?
/h3 pEducation: Master's degree in physics, civil or coastal engineering /p pBackground: 2 years of experience in a relevant role /p pLanguages: English (B2) /p h3Technical Knowledge /h3 pProficiency in Microsoft Office package and design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Wave and Hydrodynamic numerical models, Python, MATLAB /p h3Soft Skills /h3 ul liProactive approach, solution-oriented mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to carry out assigned tasks /li liPractical attitudes, concreteness /li liInterest in technological development, passion for one's work /li liTeamwork, flexibility and open-mindedness /li /ul h3What else should you know?
