The **Medicinal Chemistry Expert - Fixed Term** supports activities of organic synthesis, as part of Medicinal Chemistry projects. He/she supports in the development of new synthesis methodologies for optimizing the yields of active ingredients and raw materials and ensures synthesis of organic molecules. He/she analyzes molecular structures and draws up scientific publications/reports. Furthermore, he/she collaborates with other researchers internally and maintains SOPs. **Long Description**
- Performs classical and organic synthesis activities in the medicinal chemistry laboratories;
- Assesses identity and purity compounds with extensive use of combined techniques;
- Supports in the development of new synthesis methodologies for optimizing the yields of active ingredients and raw materials;
- Ensures the analytical characterization of the molecular structure produced within the synthesis laboratory;
- Interacts with the researchers of the other sections as part of a project team,



reporting the commitments and schedules established to the direct superior;
- Draws up the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures compliance with those in force regarding both the conduct and the management of the equipment. **Education**
- Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD Degree in CTF, Chemistry or related discipline. **Technical Expertise**
- Languages: Italian and English (fluent);
- Knowledge of the main productivity and collaboration tools (Google Workspace, MS Office);
- Knowledge of purification techniques, analytical characterization, experiences in organic synthesis applied to parallel chemistry techniques;
- Awareness of purification and characterization techniques (e.g. HPLC, GC-MS, NMR, MS, UV-Vis, fluorescence);
- Knowledge of Labs software (e.g. ACD Labs, Percepta, Spectrus, Dotmatics Platform) and research softwares (e.g. SciFinder, CDD);
- Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical sector.
