As host city for the 2015 World Expo, it has become a major tourist venue and it was identified by the New York Times as the single most interesting place to visit in the word! **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Teaching and Learning**
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in Business and Economics across Key Stages 4 and 5 MYP and DP
- Foster an environment that encourages a love of learning, academic curiosity, and critical thinking.
- Use assessment data effectively to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Set and mark homework, coursework, and exams in accordance with school policies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of curriculum developments and examination board requirements. **Curriculum and Assessment**
- Contribute to the development and review of the curriculum and schemes of work.
- Prepare students thoroughly for internal and external examinations.
- Assist with moderation, standardisation, and the analysis of student performance data. **Pastoral and Co-Curricular Involvement**
- Take an active role in the pastoral care and wellbeing of students.
- Act as a form tutor if required, supporting the academic and personal development of tutees.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities, trips,
and events related to Business and Economics. **Professional Development and Contribution to School Life**
- Engage in professional development to continually improve practice.
- Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and open days.
- Support the values and ethos of the school and act as a role model within the school community. **THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:
**Essential**
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or international equivalent).
- Experience teaching Business and/or Economics at secondary level.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. **Desirable**
- Experience teaching in an international or boarding school context.
- Familiarity with multiple curricula IB and MYP
- Ability to contribute to the development of enterprise or financial literacy programmes.
- Willingness to contribute to wider school initiatives and co-curricular life.
- to be an EU passport holder or already be in possession of permit that allows work and residence in Italy.
- Previous experience with IB programmes is not required and official IB training will be offered, together with relocation assistance and help with the apartment search.**How to apply**
