THE MISSION
Reporting to our Sales Leader, your objective will be to detect new merchant opportunities in Italy. We're starting to segment according to the sector of activity and company size, but you will have a huge playing field. If you are a passionate sales professional willing to learn the most successful Sales Methodology in the industry, this role is perfect for you!
You will:
- Regularly generate new business opportunities, pitch and differentiate Scalapay's services and close deals;
- Drive strategy for new clients: lead sales calls, business reviews, and recurring check-ins;
- Build custom sales presentations by preparing key data, historical findings, and relevant research;
- Establish strong relations with key interlocutors, building and executing joint agreed business plans with partners or merchants to drive mutual growth and success;
- Follow and manage your sales pipeline in our CRM (Hubspot);
- Work on improving a complete and complex sales cycle, from prospecting to contract signature with multi-interlocutor contact.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FORMust have
- 3+ years of relevant sales or business development experience within the SaaS, eCommerce,
or digital marketing industries;
- You are a native speaker in Italian, and you are comfortable working (especially writing) in English as English is our work language inside Scalapay.
Nice to have
- You've worked in the eCommerce ecosystem;
- You have a good knowledge of CRM tools, LinkedIn, and prospecting solutions;
- You have already experienced a hyper growth startup environment;
- You speak MEDDIC or other commercial frameworks.

- You've got excellent presentation and communication skills;
- You are autonomous, rigorous, and proactive to get things done;

Hiring process
- Initial Chat: A brief conversation with our Talent Acquisition team to get to know you and understand your fit for the role.
- Hiring Manager Interview: First interview with the Vice President Growth to deep dive into your experiences, better understand your motivation, and explore your skills.
- Case Study: A skills-based exercise followed by a debriefing session with key stakeholders, conducted in our Milan office.
- Final Chat with Simone (CEO): A chance to discuss Scalapay’s values, company vision, and ensure strong cultural alignment. During this stage, we will also conduct reference checks to validate your experience and achievements.
