When not on assignment, remote working is possible, supporting flexibility and work‑life balance. /p pJoin us to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of Wärtsilä’s innovative solutions! /p h3Your role and responsibilities /h3 pAs Service Engineer, 4 stroke, your work will focus on these responsibilities: /p ul liExecute planned maintenance and repair activities on Wärtsilä OEM 4‑stroke engines and their auxiliaries /li liPerform overhauls of engine components on site or on board vessels /li liCarry out advanced engine troubleshooting to identify root causes of mechanical failures /li liInspect completed work to ensure repairs meet Wärtsilä quality standards /li liCheck, adjust, and test relevant systems,
including auxiliary systems /li liPerform commissioning and trial runs of Wärtsilä equipment /li liParticipate actively in failure investigations and troubleshooting processes /li liPrepare accurate and timely service reports, technical documentation, and travel expense reports in line with Wärtsilä requirements /li liIdentify failures, perform adjustments, and support testing and trial operations /li liCollect, organize, and submit time and expense reports to administrative personnel as required /li liWork in full compliance with Wärtsilä guidelines, including Quality, Environment, Health Safety (QEHS) requirements /li /ul h3To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: /h3 ul liTechnical high school diploma in mechanics and/or Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering /li liProven ability to overhaul engine components on site or on board /li liPrevious experience with planned maintenance and repair of Wärtsilä OEM engines and auxiliaries is a strong advantage /li liSolid experience in engine troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and component investigations /li liStrong problem‑solving and analytical skills /li liExcellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams /li liHigh motivation to learn, develop, and grow professionally /li liTeam‑oriented mindset with a collaborative approach /li liAbility to perform effectively in dynamic and changing environments /li liGood knowledge of English and Italian /li liWillingness and motivation to travel extensively (minimum 80% of the year),
