We are looking for a **Project Leader Driving System** to join our headquarters at Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO). You will report hierarchically to the Chief Technical Engineer, and functionally to the Vehicle Motion and Energy Management area.
The Project Leader Driving System plans and manages the activities of the Product line that are required for their task area throughout the entire product life cycle. He/She is responsible for meeting all specified targets related to design, engineering, deadlines, costs and quality for the project within their system scope. He/She has corporate responsibility for his/her vehicle and for the platform contents of all co-users. He/She initiates the appropriate corrective actions if targets within their area of responsibility are at risk. **Your activities will be**: - Responsible for supporting the Chief Technical Engineer in the definition of technical and product requirements within his/her technical area/system and the respective achievement.
- Responsible for synchronizing the System Engineering roles for all relevant subsystems (drivetrain and drive control, steering system, vertical dynamics, brake system, wheels, suspension), ensuring technical, budget and time consistency within the system scope.
- Responsible for functionally leading the technical teams, fostering analysis and facilitating decision making, escalating concerns to Product Line and functions
- Making key technical decisions for their system scope (e.g.,
determining an architectural alternative)
- Accountable for meeting direct cost, investments and supplier development cost targets within his/her systems, supported by Finance and R&D;
- Responsible for checking the plausibility of deadlines and budget and ensuring that deadlines and budgets are met
- Accountable for target deviations within his/her delegation of authority, escalating to Product Line in case of conflicts or deviations outside of his/her delegation authority, preparing underlying analyses to facilitate the decision making process
- Accountable for managing budget within his/her threshold
- Support the definition of financial targets together with Chief Technical Engineer/Functional Project Leaders & Finance Project Leaders
- Responsible for meeting system targets He/She is supported in their tasks by the relevant system R&D; teams. **Release management perimeter**:
At System level, the Project Leader Driving System is responsible for the release management process and accountable for product system release. **About you**
- Engineering Degree
- At least 5 years’ experience in Automotive companies
- Experience in project management
- Development and Production Processes Knowledge
- Fully proficient in English, German as a plus
- Leadership skills
- Time and cost management
