This role sits within a globally respected project and strategic advisory organisation specialising in the delivery of world-class sports, entertainment, and large-scale public venues. With an extensive international portfolio spanning major stadiums, arenas, and mixed-use developments, the business provides end-to-end project leadership, strategic advisory, and delivery services to public and private sector clients. Reporting to the Project Executive, the Senior Project Director will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and delivery of a landmark sports stadium development in Rome, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the project is delivered to the highest standards of quality, programme, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead day-to-day delivery of the stadium project, providing strategic direction, governance, and oversight across all project stages from design development through construction and handover.




- Directly manage and mentor the project delivery team, including Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Controls, and support staff, ensuring clear roles, accountability, and high performance.
- Act as the primary senior interface with the client, authorities, consultants, and key stakeholders, managing relationships, expectations, and decision-making on a complex, high-profile development.
- Oversee project controls including programme, budget, risk, and reporting, ensuring timely identification and mitigation of risks while maintaining alignment with project objectives. xysqume xlwpduy
- Ensure the project is delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, Italian regulations, and international best practice for major sports venues, driving a culture of excellence, safety, and professionalism throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements
- Must be fluent in both English and Italian
- Must have 10+ years' experience in a similar role delivering high-value sports/entertainment venues
- Must be based within a commutable distance of Rome
- Must have relevant degree level qualifications
