ppThe Finance Administrator is responsible for managing the Group's cash flow and long-term asset activities, ensuring effective cash management, accurate financial reporting and robust financial controls. /ppThe role supports the financial stability of the business through the management of liquidity, banking relationships, financial operations related to treasury, and accounting for capital assets. Working closely with colleagues across Finance and external partners, the postholder will provide high-quality financial information, adhere to internal policies and support statutory reporting and audit requirements. /ph3Treasury Management: /h3ulliMonitor daily cash positions and maintain sufficient liquidity to support operational requirements. /liliPrepare short, medium and long term forecasts of cash receipts and payments to support financial planning and decision making. /liliProduce treasury reports, forecasts of cash receipts and disbursements, liquidity analysis and debt schedules. /liliSupport budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning activities. /li /ulh3Banking And Financial Controls: /h3ulliAct as the primary contact for banking partnerships and treasury service providers. /liliHandle bank account administration, including account maintenance, signatory controls and compliance requirements. /liliReview banking covenants, ensuring ongoing compliance and timely reporting. /liliSupport the negotiation and administration of banking facilities and treasury services. /liliEnsure treasury activities operate in accordance with internal controls, policies and regulatory requirements. /li /ulh3Treasury Operations: /h3ulliHandle daily treasury activities, including payments, collections and bank reconciliations. /liliSupport foreign currency payment processes, ensuring transactions are completed accurately and on time. /liliComplete bank account verification and due diligence checks to support fraud prevention and payment controls. /liliSeek opportunities to improve treasury processes, systems and automation. /li /ulh3Fixed Asset Accounting: /h3ulliMaintain accurate and up to date fixed asset records. /liliProcess asset additions, transfers and disposals. /liliCalculate, review and post depreciation charges. /liliPrepare fixed asset journals and related accounting entries. /liliComplete monthly fixed asset and balance sheet reconciliations. /liliEnsure compliance with accounting standards and internal fixed asset policies. /li /ulh3Financial Reporting And Audit Support: /h3ulliContribute to half year and year-end financial reporting processes. /liliPrepare treasury and fixed asset schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation. /liliSupport internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely financial information. /liliWork collaboratively with Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Financial Planning teams to ensure accurate reporting and financial control. /li /ulh3Essential: /h3ulliExperience gained through roles in cash management, financial operations, bookkeeping, or associated financial activities. /liliStrong understanding of cash management, treasury operations and financial controls.
/liliExperience preparing financial reports, reconciliations and cash flow forecasts. /liliExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills. /liliAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial analysis and reporting. /liliStrong attention to detail and dedication to accuracy. /liliAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. /liliExcellent communication and stakeholder leadership skills. /liliAbility to work independently whilst building effective relationships across the business. /li /ulh3Desirable: /h3ulliExperience managing banking relationships and treasury facilities. /liliKnowledge of foreign currency transactions and foreign exchange markets. /liliExperience supporting external audits and statutory reporting. /liliExperience with fixed asset accounting and depreciation processes. /liliUnderstanding of financial systems, process improvement and automation. /li /ulh3Qualifications and Experience /h3ulliProven experience in treasury, finance, accounting or financial operations. /liliDemonstrated experience in financial reporting, reconciliations and financial controls. /li /ulpJersey Electricity provides excellent benefits, catered towards financial, physical and mental wellbeing.
