As our Senior Aerodynamics Designer, you will play a key role in transforming aerodynamic concepts into high-quality surface geometry that supports the development and performance of the TGR Haas F1 Team race car.

Reporting to the Aerodynamics Designer Team Leader, you will work closely with Aerodynamicists, Model Designers, and Full-Size Car Designers to develop aerodynamic surfaces for CFD, Wind Tunnel testing, and full-size vehicle releases. You will also support the development of design standards, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the continuous improvement of aerodynamic design processes and tools.

What You'll Be Doing

Aerodynamic Surface Design

- Develop high-quality aerodynamic surface geometry for CFD, Wind Tunnel testing, and full-size vehicle releases
- Collaborate closely with Aerodynamicists to understand the requirements and objectives of new aerodynamic concepts
- Support the design and development of Wind Tunnel models
- Ensure all aerodynamic surfaces meet quality, robustness, and production standards

Project Delivery & Technical Support

- Work closely with Aerodynamicists, Model Designers, and Full-Size Car Designers throughout the design process
- Coordinate activities to support the successful delivery of aerodynamic development projects
- Support aerodynamic legality checks for full-size releases
- Maintain clear communication on project status and deliverables

CAD Development & Process Improvement

- Manage and develop complex CAD structures and surface models
- Ensure adherence to departmental design standards and surfacing methodologies
- Contribute to the development of CAD tools, macros, and workflow automation solutions
- Maintain accurate documentation relating to surfacing activities and processes

Team Collaboration & Mentorship

- Provide guidance and support to junior Aero Designers




- Share best practices and technical knowledge within the team
- Collaborate across departments to support aerodynamic performance and development objectives
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and excellence

What You'll Bring

Essential

- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role or within a motorsport environment
- Strong understanding of surfacing and parametric modelling techniques
- Experience managing complex CAD structures
- Thorough knowledge of CAD software, with expertise in CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE
- Strong understanding of surface quality, model layout, and robustness
- Understanding of suspension kinematics and related design considerations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Desirable

- Further education, including a university degree in Engineering, Design, or a related discipline
- Experience within Formula 1
- Experience developing CAD tools, macros, or workflow automation solutions
- Experience supporting aerodynamic Wind Tunnel model development
