Your Mission:
We are looking for a motivated R&D; Gelato Intern to join our R&D; team based in Castelletto Stura (Cuneo). Reporting directly to the Senior R&D; Gelato & F&B; Specialist, the intern will support the development and continuous improvement of our gelato category, contributing to both product innovation and laboratory activities. This role offers valuable hands-on exposure to product development processes, ingredient evaluation, and experimental testing, actively contributing to the creation of high-quality products and the evolution of our gelato portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of gelato bases, ensuring compliance with recipes and quality standards.
- Assist in supplier-related activities, including communication, sample management, and logistics coordination.
- Provide support in the evaluation and pre-screening of ingredients and technical specifications.
- Support ingredient trials, substitutions,
and experimental testing activities.
- Assist in the execution of product trials, ensuring accurate tracking of raw material consumption.
- Contribute to data collection and basic analysis for empirical testing.
- Maintain and update the recipe database and technical documentation.
- Support the preparation of processing sheets and documentation.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of laboratory operations.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives and product development projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Sales, and Production under guidance.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Strong interest in the Food & Beverage industry, preferably in gelato or pastry.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast-paced context.
- Fluency in Italian and a good level of English.
