Vending Route Driver Trainee - PDFS

POSITION SUMMARY

Learn and complete various vending routes providing a high standard of service to Pee Dee Food Service customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Fills and maintains vending machines within a scheduled delivery route.

- Maintains all Pee Dee Food Service standards

- Effectively and safely utilizes a handheld computer and hand truck.

REQUIREMENTS

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Ability to work reliably and independently with minimal daily supervision.

- Valid driver’s license.

- Clean and insurable driving record.

- Must meet DOT standards including a DOT physical.

- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.

- Previous route experience is preferred but not required.

- Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math skills.

ABILITIES

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Strong customer service skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Must be physically and mentally able to successfully perform the essential elements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

- The ability to hear, talk, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.

- Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.

- Must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

- While performing the duties of the job,



the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical equipment, outside weather conditions, and high, precarious places.

- The noise level in the work area is usually low.

- Daily travel to customer locations is required.
