YOUR MISSION At Sidel, innovation moves through collaboration, engineering excellence, and customer focus. As a Mechanical Engineer within the Service Engineering team, you will act as a solution architect, transforming customer needs into technical modifications that improve the performance and reliability of our packaging systems worldwide.
Joining an international and cross-functional environment, you will contribute to the Regular Portfolio, with a strong focus on process-related machine modifications. Working closely with engineering, project, and service teams, you will support the evolution of mechanical modules while helping customers adapt and optimize their production lines. Reporting within the Service Engineering organization, you will play a key role in turning technical challenges into sustainable and efficient solutions.
Your Missions
- Design and develop modifications for parts, sub-assemblies, and complete mechanical modules, with a focus on process machines.
- Translate customer requirements into technically feasible and cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Contribute actively to quotation activities, design reviews, functional analysis, and FMEA processes.
- Ensure compliance with Sidel design standards, product evolution processes, and platform architecture principles.
- Manage technical problem-solving activities while ensuring quality, timing, and project deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to support project success and continuous product improvement.
YOUR PROFILE Your Profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or technical high school diploma with relevant experience.
- 4–5 years of experience in a technical office or mechanical engineering environment.
- Knowledge of filling lines and packaging industry technologies.
- Experience with 3D CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks, and 2D CAD tools such as AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong teamwork, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Professional English proficiency
- availability to travel up to 20–40 working days per year.
