TFL Italia SpA is now looking for a Inventory Manager to join us.
Position purpose:
The role is responsible for balancing customer demand with supply and inventory capabilities, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet service targets, and minimizes excess inventory obsolescence.
The position is based in Buscate, Milan (Italy) and reports to the Global Head of Demand Planning Supply Chain.
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Demand Planning
- Develop and maintain rolling demand plan at SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) and category levels by incorporating sales forecast, historical data and external factors.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to capture promotional impacts, new product launches, and market trends.
- Lead the demand review, highlighting risks and opportunities to the leadership team.
- Supply Planning & Inventory Management
- Translate the demand plan into a feasible supply plan, considering production capacity, and stock replenishment lead times.
- Manage inventory health by setting and monitoring safety stock levels, reorder points, and cycle stock parameters.
- Identify supply constraints and develop mitigation strategies (e.g., expediting, re-scheduling,
or alternative sourcing).
- Monitor slow-moving and obsolete (SLOB) inventory and drive action plans to reduce write-offs.
- Responsible for providing the supply plan to Trading goods 3rd party suppliers;
- Manage supplier account creation, source list maintenance, purchasing price updates, etc in SAP for trading goods 3rd party supplier.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer Service Level (late backlog/ OTIF), Inventory Turnover & Days of Inventory Outstanding (DIO), etc.
- Use ERP/MRP systems to generate reports and provide root-cause analysis for service failures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the key liaison between Procurement, Production, Logistics, and Customer Service to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Work with Product Development teams to plan for product phase-in/phase-out transitions.
Education/Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
· APICS/CSCP or IBF certification is a strong advantage.
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or inventory management within a manufacturing, FMCG, or retail environment.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle, JDE) and Planning Systems (e.g., Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, O9).
· Experience with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization is highly desirable.
· Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning skills.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
· Proactive mindset with a "continuous improvement" attitude.
· Fluent in English
OFFER
- Salary range: from 44.000€ to 50.000€, that will be defined depending on the level of adherence of the candidate to the job requirements.
