TECHNICAL BUYER Role The Technical Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement of components, materials and technical services required for production activities and product development.
Manage the purchasing process for mechanical, electronic and electromechanical components, as well as technical materials. Review purchase requests, technical drawings, bills of materials and product specifications. Identify, select and qualify new suppliers in cooperation with the Technical and Quality departments.
Request and compare quotations, negotiating prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and quantities. Ensure material availability in line with production plans and project requirements.
Work with R&D; and Industrialization during the development and introduction of new products.
Keep purchasing data, commercial terms and supplier master data updated in the ERP system. Support inventory management and the reduction of excess and obsolete stock. Technical diploma or degree in Engineering, Economics or a related field.
At least 3–5 years of experience in technical purchasing roles within industrial or manufacturing companies. Ability to read technical drawings, bills of materials and product specifications.
Experience in supplier negotiation and management. Good knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office. Good command of English. Strong negotiation skills and results orientation. Good organizational and planning skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and operational teams. Quality and continuous-improvement orientation. Reduction of excess and obsolete inventory.
