Roles & Objectives

As an Intern you will be part of our Operational Excellence (OPEN+) Department for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A. and will be reporting to OPEN+ Deployment Lead. The position will be based in Crespellano (BO).

We are seeking a motivated and data oriented Operational Excellence Intern to join our team. In this role, you will support various initiatives designed to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. A core part of the internship will involve coaching on the floor, where you will work directly with teams to observe processes, support problem solving, and help reinforce best practices in real time.

You will collaborate with cross functional teams to analyze workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to the implementation of sustainable solutions. Beyond daily continuous improvement activities, you will also play an active role in capability building, supporting the preparation and organization of trainings, and helping structure benchmarking and networking events within the site and with external partners

Specific Responsibilities:

- Assist in analyzing current operational processes and identifying inefficiencies;

- Support the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives;

- Collaborate with team members to gather data and generate reports;





- Participate in meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions;

- Help monitoring the progress of ongoing projects and providing updates;

- Support manufacturing department through сoaching sessions on Lean tools directly contributing to increasing team qualification and capabilitied;

- Assist in organizing training, benchmarking and networking events, including participation in activities involving external companies

Who we’re looking for

- Fluency in English and in Italian is mandatory, and will be tested throughout the interview process;

- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities;
- Ability to effectively manage different stakeholders (internal and external);
- Experience or interest in event management and coordination;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team environment.

Type of contract: Internship of 6 months length, tempo pieno

Work location: Crespellano, Bologna

Internship Start Date: end of September 2026

Full-Time In this role, you will earn no less than 900€ monthly.
