Bar Manager
Della Calza SPA & Foresteria, a hospitality destination in the heart of Florence combining accommodation, wellness, food & beverage and events, is looking for an experienced and motivated Bar Manager to join our team.
The Bar Manager will be responsible for the overall management and daily operations of our bar, ensuring high service standards and creating a welcoming and professional experience for both hotel guests and external visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the daily operations of the bar
- Coordinate, train and motivate the bar team
- Ensure consistently high standards of service and guest experience
- Manage staff schedules and daily organization
- Oversee stock levels, orders, inventory and supplier relationships
- Monitor beverage costs, waste and overall profitability
- Develop and update the cocktail, wine and beverage offering
- Ensure correct opening and closing procedures
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization and food safety
- Collaborate with the kitchen, Bistrot, Front Office and Events teams
- Coordinate bar service for private and corporate events
- Handle guest requests and resolve operational issues efficiently
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Bar Manager, Head Bartender or in a similar supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and beverage service
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Guest-oriented and hands-on approach
- Ability to manage and motivate a team
- Good knowledge of English and Italian
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Experience in hotels, restaurants, luxury hospitality or event venues will be considered a plus
