We are looking for an experienced Business Unit Director – Retail to lead and develop our Retail Business Unit in Italy.

Role Purpose
In this role, you will define and execute the BU strategy, drive profitable growth, and ensure operational excellence across multiple logistics sites. You will have full accountability for the P&L; and play a key role in expanding our market presence while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Focus Areas:
Define and implement the Retail BU strategy aligned with DHL Supply Chain objectives
Lead end-to-end logistics operations (warehousing, distribution, value-added services) across multiple locations
Ensure operational efficiency, scalability,
and service excellence
Manage capacity planning to address seasonal peaks and fluctuating volumes
Own full P&L; accountability
Manage operating budgets
Drive cost optimization and ROI-focused initiatives
Monitor financial KPIs and ensure performance targets are achieved
Lead change management initiatives
Drive growth through expansion of existing contracts
Support commercial activities, including solution design and business case development
Strengthen and expand relationships with key customers and stakeholders
Lead large-scale projects such as new site start-ups and automation initiatives
Promote innovation, digitalization, and Lean/continuous improvement practices
Lead a complex organization including Site Managers, Operations Managers, and Key
