CAEN S.p.A. is seeking a motivated and qualified Electronic Test Engineer to join the Product Test team at our Portoferraio site (Isola d’Elba). The selected candidate will contribute to the development and validation of cutting‑edge technologies in the field of nuclear and particle physics instrumentation, working within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians. The role offers opportunities for professional growth, with the potential to evolve into a coordination position within the team.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

- Perform functional and performance tests on analog and digital electronic boards.
- Carry out troubleshooting activities and identify failures or non-conformities at component and system level.
- Contribute to product validation and industrialization activities.




- Interface with design teams (hardware, firmware, and mechanical) to support continuous improvement of product quality and reliability.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to testing activities and procedures.
- Contribute to the improvement and automation of test processes and setups.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering (or related field).
- Solid understanding of electronic circuit theory.
- Experience in testing and debugging analog and digital electronic circuits.
- Proficiency in the use of electronic laboratory instruments (oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, power supplies, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented attitude and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Commitment to quality and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Italian and English (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of C/C++ and Python programming languages.
- Familiarity with electronic design tools (e.g., Altium Designer).
