Role Description
For an important project in the industrial sector, we areseeking a Specialist Buyer (Junior Plus) with 3 to 5 years of experience tosupport the procurement processes relating to machinery, plants, equipment, andcapital goods.
The selected candidate will join the Procurement functionand support the purchasing cycle for assigned product categories, contributingto cost, quality, and project timing objectives. Operating under the directcoordination of the Procurement Manager and collaborating with the Engineering,Industrialization, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain functions, you will beinvolved in the procurement process from sourcing activities to issuingpurchase orders and monitoring supplies.
The ideal candidate possesses a solid foundation inindustrial procurement, is eager to develop their negotiation skills, andoperates well within a structured team environment. You will manage standardprocurement tasks independently while receiving guidance on more complexstrategic decisions, utilizing an analytical and result-oriented approach.
Main Responsibilities
Procurement Planning & Coordination
- Supportthe definition, updating, and monitoring of procurement plans for assignedpackages.
- Collaboratewith various company functions to collect, analyze, and consolidatetechnical, commercial, and contractual requirements.
- Helpensure procurement activities align with operational needs, businesspriorities, and project milestones.
- Identify,analyze, and select potential suppliers of machinery, plant, equipment,and industrial goods.
- Collectand organize technical and commercial information to support sourcingactivities.
- Supportsupplier qualification and pre-qualification processes in compliance withcompany procedures.
Request for Quotation (RFQ) Management
- Prepareand issue RFQs based on technical specifications provided by the competentfunctions.
- Coordinatethe RFQ process, managing clarification requests, technical/commercialalignments, and supplier interactions.
- Ensurethe accurate traceability, completeness, and archiving of received offers.
Commercial Negotiation & Order Management
- Participatein and conduct commercial negotiations for prices, payment terms, deliverytimes, and warranties under company guidelines.
- Preparecomparative analyses and standard negotiation reports to support supplyallocation decisions.
- Prepareand issue Purchase Orders through the SAP ERP system, ensuring compliancewith authorization flows.
- Managecommercial, contractual, and logistical information associated withorders, assisting with contract changes when necessary.
Order Tracking & Reporting
- Monitorthe progress of orders and verify compliance with contractual milestonesand delivery dates.
- Collaboratewith suppliers and internal stakeholders to flag critical issues, delays,or risks.
- Maintainproper archiving of procurement documentation and support the preparationof periodic progress reports highlighting costs, timings, and risks.
Requirements
Experience & Skills
- 3 to5 years of experience in the role of Buyer or Procurement Specialistwithin a structured industrial context.
- Hands-onexperience supporting procurement processes related to machinery, plants,industrial equipment, or capital goods.
- Practicalexperience participating in supplier negotiations and managing standardcommercial agreements.
- Familiaritywith procurement, strategic sourcing, and vendor qualification processes.
- ITSkills: Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for purchasing management; excellent command of Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis tools.
- AnalyticalSkills: Ability to evaluate technical and commercial offerings to supportdata-driven decision-making.
Languages
- Excellentknowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.
Additional Requirements
- Willingnessto interface with international suppliers and stakeholders acrossdifferent time zones.
- Availabilityto work at the headquarters for at least three days a week (hybrid model)and adapt to project needs.
- Contract:Permanent (CCNL Commerce).
- Wage:Indicative Gross Wage (RAL) between €28,000 and €30,000, depending onexperience and skills.
- Travel:A travel allowance of €5,000 (approx. €22.72 per day worked) is providedfor candidates not residing in the project area.
