The Infrastructure and Digital Mapping Technician is responsible for ensuring the organisation's infrastructure, asset, and spatial information is accurate, accessible, and of high quality. They achieve this through ArcGIS and Esri software.

The role supports the management of digital records, data governance, mapping standards and business processes through the use of ArcGIS, Esri tools, Utility Network, CAD systems and related tech. The postholder will play a significant role in driving projects passionate about advancing digital modernisation, including Digital Twin development, system integration, automation and process improvement.

Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Planning, Construction, and Customer teams, the successful candidate will help ensure infrastructure information is reliable and accessible. They will also ensure it is fit for operational, regulatory, and strategic decision making.

Asset and Infrastructure Data Management

Maintain accurate records of infrastructure assets, premises,



services and network information within ArcGIS and related business systems.
Ensure spatial information and asset-related records are accurate, complete, consistent and maintained to agreed standards.
Support the ongoing migration, improvement and maintenance of Utility Network and physical asset data management systems.

Data Quality and Governance

Validate, audit and improve data related to infrastructure and assets, identifying and resolving missing, duplicate or inconsistent information.
Assist in developing guidelines for coordinating geospatial and engineering information.

Mapping and Technical Support

Respond to cable record and mapping requests from customers, contractors and internal team members.
Support engineers and project teams with mapping, drawing, records and system-related enquiries.
Assist with the maintenance of CAD drawings, schematics, digital maps and user documentation as required.
