Retano is a retail-tech vendor developing and implementing ML/AI and Big Data-based solutions for the retail industry. With over 300 successful projects under our belt, our team supports food retailers, drugstores, DIY, and fashion retailers in optimizing business processes, reducing operational costs, and enhancing customer experiences through the Retano Digital Ecosystem and cloud services.
We are looking for a Junior Sales Representative to create and expand Retano’s customer base in Italy. The primary focus of the role is cold acquisition:

identifying target retailers and relevant decision-makers, initiating first contact, qualifying leads, and developing new business opportunities.
Research the Italian retail market and create target customer lists focused on medium and large retailers
Identify relevant decision-makers and contacts at different organizational levels within target accounts
Initiate cold outreach to prospective customers through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other appropriate channels
Qualify and evaluate leads based on customer interest, business potential, and development prospects
Conduct initial discovery to understand customer needs and identify potential fit with Retano’s IT products and related services
Work closely with senior sales and the pre-sales team throughout the sales cycle
Build and maintain a medium- and long-term pipeline of prospects and qualified sales opportunities
Support commercial negotiations and follow-up
