AECOM's Enterprise Capabilities is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Engineering team in Milan, Italy.
The position is suited for engineers with around 5 years of experience in HVAC and mechanical building services, with exposure to data centers or mission-critical facilities. The role focuses on the design and coordination of HVAC and cooling systems, supporting data center and critical infrastructure projects within multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Support the design of HVAC and heat rejection systems for data centers and mission-critical environments, considering cooling loads, redundancy concepts, flexibility for phased expansion, airflow management, humidity control, and energy efficiency. Contribute to the selection and layout of cooling solutions such as CRAH/CRAC units, chilled water systems, DX systems, in-row cooling, fan wall units, and basic containment strategies, based on project requirements. Perform cooling and heating load calculations using industry tools, under the supervision of senior engineers when required. Assist in the design
