Within the GCAP Joint Venture, in the GCAP Finance UO, we are looking for a Project Accountant Specialist for GCAP HQ in Reading (UK). The Project Accountant will play an important role in the Finance Team of the new Joint Venture with our partners BAE and MHI, joining right at the start of its journey. This is a rare opportunity to have exposure to a wide range of tasks and stakeholders at the inception of a new programme,
helping shape enduring processes and practices. Due to the fast‐moving nature of the new company, the role is expected to offer a varied workload which will provide an excellent environment to develop skills and will need a candidate who is able to adapt to a changing environment. Accountabilities Contributing to the shaping of the GCAP JV's Project Finance policies, processes, and procedures; Reviewing and understanding key contracts and preparing associated Sales & Margin Trading Plans, as well as regular reports on contract status and broader management accounts packs; Collaborating with other functions to understand underlying contract status and proactively resolve any issues, and with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, so to ensure customer claims are raised in a timely and accurate manner, and that vendor charges are appropriate and understood; Liaising with the Accounting & Reporting teams to ensure
