In this role you will help design and build next‐gen optical communication products, spanning systems, subsystems, and photonic components. You will lead end‐to‐end design efforts, review processes, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to bring solutions from concept to field deployment. You'll optimize performance, validate algorithms for link optimization, and resolve technical issues to support product releases. This is a chance to shape scalable optical technologies within Cisco's AI‐era data infrastructure.Design and development of optical transmission systems, subsystems, and components (including photonic chip layout, simulation and verification)Selection and qualification of active/passive photonic and discrete optical components for final productsDevelopment and validation of benchmarks, analyses, and optimization of communications algorithms for link performanceTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues across components, parts, product,
