As Materials Behavior Lead Engineer you are responsible for the design and execution of materials property test programs to understand the behavior of metallic materials applied across the full life cycle of aero engines. Activities aimed at proving a concept to be valid or technically feasible by the application of scientific and engineering methodologies.
Apply Materials Behavior expertise in metallic material mechanical test program planning and program coordination.
Partner with internal and external lab specialists and technicians to meet customer program requirements and deadlines.
Identify, develop, evaluate, and introduce engineering solutions to meet near term and long-range engineering needs.
Develop and lead long term research and development programs on materials and processes. Execute developmental testing programs of engine or test hardware to support qualification part processing.
PhD in Materials Science or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical, Mechanical or Aeronautic Engineering or related discipline with experience in an industrial environment.
Knowledge of aviation engine materials: Experience in material testing.
Proficiency in English and Italian (written and verbal).
