Head of Controlling Italy

Role Summary As Head of Controlling Italy, you will lead our national controlling function and act as a strategic partner to the business. Reporting to the Country CFO, you will take on a strategic leadership role with strong business impact, collaborating with international and EMEA stakeholders while driving and shaping business performance, transformation, and supporting strategic growth in a dynamic industrial environment. The role can be based on our site in Zola Predosa (BO) or Casella (GE), but will be required to travel to the other Italian sites on a regular basis according to specific needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning processes
- Deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting to local and EMEA leadership
- Drive performance analysis, identifying risks and opportunities
- Oversee controlling activities across four manufacturing sites
- Strengthen cost control, productivity, and profitability
- Act as a strategic business partner to Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales
- Lead, develop,
and inspire a high‑performing controlling team
- Ensure compliance with group policies and reporting standards
- Support strategic initiatives, investments, and transformation projects
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 8–10+ years of experience in Controlling / FP&A;, ideally in manufacturing
- Proven leadership experience (minimum 3–5 years managing teams)
- Strong expertise in financial planning & analysis, cost/plant controlling and standard costing, KPI development and performance management, and investment evaluation and cash‑flow management
- Experience in multinational environments
- Excellent knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong understanding of IFRS and local GAAP
- Fluent in Italian and English (French is a plus)
