The Role
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintaining, installing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of machines to manufacture fencing by performing the following duties. Directly supervises employees in the Sawmill. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring,
and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. This position reports to the Mill Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
The maintenance manager is responsible for the management and coordination of all mechanical, filing, electrical and clean-up work in the facility
Ensure the safety of all team members and contractors working in the plant or department by driving continuous improvement, including supporting all corporate safety programs, developing SOPs, identifying and eliminating hazards, and enforcing all safety rules and regulations
Develop, manage, and lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs and inventory tracking procedures
Work to ensure the mill can meet priority production goals through the supervision of the maintenance crew, and maintenance project management
