ph3Environmental Consultant – Site Investigation Remediation (Field focus) /h3 pERM Italy is seeking a motivated Consultant with a passion for sustainability to join our growing Site Investigation Remediation (SIR) Team in Italy. /p pThe role will be a mixed of on-site (primarily) and desk-job. Our offices are based in Milan, and we expect the consultant to be able to travel and be in the office when needed although we offer flexible working arrangements as well. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liPreparation, management, and execution of environmental field work in contaminated sites’ investigation and remediation projects /li liConduct field work, including groundwater, soil, waste, soil vapor, air, sediment, and surface water sampling, soil logging, remediation performance monitoring /li liOversee subcontractors during soil drilling and installation, operations, and maintenance of remediation systems /li liManage environmental data quality control, interpretation, visualization, and reporting /li liFocus on project delivery, supporting the project managers. Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments /li liCommunicate with all project stakeholders: colleagues, subcontractors, laboratories, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients during project preparation and field activities. /li liAssist in the preparation of technical proposals, and cost estimates /li /ul h3Technical skills required /h3 ul liBachelor’s or master’s degree in an environmental discipline such as earth sciences, environmental sciences, hydrology/hydrogeology, geology, geochemistry, or environmental engineering. /li liFluency in Italian and English, both spoken and written. Working knowledge of another language will be considered a plus.
/li li2-5 years’ work experience as environmental consultant and field manager/field technician. /li liKnowledge of Italian environmental legislation, especially concerning Contaminated Sites and waste management regulation. /li /ul h3Other skills /h3 ul liMotivation for field work, and willingness to travel primarily within Italy. /li liProactive and detail-oriented with pragmatic aptitude and hands‑on troubleshooting / problem‑solving skills. /li liTeam player with the ability to multi‑task, maintain flexibility, and work independently under minimal supervision. /li liEffective organization and analytical skills, and good communication skills both verbal and through written technical reports. /li liStrong commitment to health safety, including following established health safety protocols. /li liKnowledge of GIS software and Data management tools will be considered a plus. /li /ul pT he recommended recruiting rangefor this role is 32.000 to 39.000. /p pERM is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive, it’s an essential part of what makes ERM a great place to build a career and helps us create better solutions for our clients. /p pWe welcome talent from all backgrounds and provide equal opportunities for every candidate.
