Offer Description

This research aims to develop innovative methodologies that integrate Additive Manufacturing (AM) with smart and circular materials to enable the next generation of sustainable collaborative robotics. The project investigates the use of recycled metals, polymers,

and bio-based materials in advanced AM processes to manufacture lightweight, high-performance robotic components while minimizing environmental impact. Particular emphasis is placed on Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM), topology optimization, and digital manufacturing strategies that facilitate repair, remanufacturing, and material recovery throughout the robot lifecycle. The research also explores AI-assisted process monitoring and quality control to ensure the reliability and repeatability of components produced from secondary raw materials.
