BESS Commissioning Engineer - CHINESE SPEAKER REQUIRED

Piper Maddox is supporting a leading energy technology company looking for a BESS Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery and commissioning of large-scale battery storage projects across Europe and international markets.
This is a hands-on site-based role, working across commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and project acceptance, while collaborating with engineering, project management, R&D; and after-sales teams.
Responsibilities
Support the commissioning, testing and acceptance of utility-scale BESS projects.
Commission and troubleshoot battery systems, including BMS, HVAC/liquid cooling, fire suppression, DC and auxiliary AC systems.
Support the commissioning of PCS and EMS.
Diagnose faults, resolve technical issues and manage defects through to closure.
Participate in SAT, grid connection testing and project handover.
Support customer training on system operation and maintenance.
Work closely with Project Management, R&D;,
Quality and After-Sales teams to resolve site issues.
Ensure all commissioning activities are completed safely and in line with EHS requirements.
Travel extensively and undertake longer-term assignments at international project sites.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy, Communications Engineering or a related field.
1–3 years' experience in electrical commissioning, energy projects or a similar environment.
Basic understanding of BESS, PV or power systems, including BMS, PCS and EMS.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and communication drawings.
Knowledge of CAN, Modbus RTU/TCP or similar communication protocols.
Understanding of electrical systems, grid connection or substation equipment is advantageous.
Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
English speaking skills.
Willingness to travel extensively internationally.
Desirable
Previous experience with BESS, solar PV or wind projects.
LV/HV electrical qualifications.
International project experience.
Italian, Mandarin, Spanish or French language skills.
