As an engineering-focused organisation, they have grown to become one of the leading and most trusted companies in our sector.
We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced HSE Lead to join their team.
This position will be based on-site in Milan, Italy.
Responsibilities
Site Safety Leadership: Develop, implement, and oversee the site-specific EHS management plan, ensuring compliance with Italian legislation, EU directives, and company standards.
Promote a proactive safety culture across all project teams and subcontractors.
Risk Management & Compliance: Lead risk assessments, method statement reviews, and safety audits.
Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to prevent incidents and ensure continual improvement in EHS performance.
Training & Awareness: Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and targeted training programs to ensure all personnel are competent, informed, and committed to working safely.
Incident Investigation & Reporting: Manage the reporting and investigation of accidents, near misses, and environmental events.
Ensure root causes are identified and that corrective actions are communicated and verified.
Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with project management, client representatives, and regulatory bodies to maintain transparency and compliance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to company-wide EHS best-practice development.
Requirements
Must have relevant Health & Safety qualifications i.e. NEBOSH
Must have 10+ years' experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)
Must have Strong knowledge of current Irish and EU Health & Safety legislation.
