Teaching commitment :
The teaching duties will concern courses offered within the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Design, the Master’s Degree Programme in Design for Cultural and Productive Contexts, and the PhD Programme of the Polytechnic University of Bari, within the Academic Recruitment Field 08/CEAR-08 and the Disciplinary Scientific Sector CEAR-08/D – Design, according to the teaching needs of the Department, with particular reference to Visual design and its history and criticism. The teaching commitment will also include the supervision of PhD dissertations, Bachelor's and Master's theses, internships and traineeships, as well as postdoctoral research activities related to Visual Design. The overall commitment for teaching, supplementary teaching activities,
student assistance and academic service will amount to 350 hours per year.
Scientific commitment :
The successful candidate will be required to carry out research activities within the Disciplinary Scientific Sector CEAR-08/D – Design. In accordance with the disciplinary profile of the sector, the research activity will concern the knowledge required to design and configure the morphological, typological and aesthetic features of communication systems, including both tangible and intangible artefacts. Particular attention will be devoted to the theories, methods, tools and practices that characterize such systems, as well as to their epistemology, history and criticism, across different domains, including institutional, social, territorial, cultural and heritage-related, environmental, economic, logistical, distribution and market contexts, as well as within different production systems. The research activity will specifically focus on Visual Design, with reference to the design and history of visual artefacts, visual systems and communication processes in contemporary cultural, social and productive contexts.
Modalità di accertamento del grado di conoscenza della lingua inglese: The assessment will take place on the basis of the candidate's scientific publications in English. xysqume The Commission might possibly ascertain the level of knowledge of the English language also through an in-person interview.
