Energy Dome is an innovative company operating in the utility-scale energy storage sector. We design and deliver large-scale infrastructure projects supporting the global energy transition.
As we scale internationally, we are strengthening our execution capabilities and are looking for a Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning and startup of our plants across multiple geographies.
Role Overview
The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing commissioning activities for Energy Dome's industrial-scale energy plants.
This is a highly operational role requiring strong on-site presence, technical depth, and structured execution capability. The position is based in Milan, with very frequent international travel during project execution phases.
You will ensure that plants are safely commissioned, tested, validated, and handed over according to contractual performance guarantees.
Key Responsibilities
Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules aligned with overall project timelines.
Define commissioning philosophy from early engineering phases.
Ensure commissioning requirements are embedded into design and procurement.
Site Execution & Coordination
Lead on-site commissioning activities.
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, process, automation).
Supervise pre-commissioning, cold and hot commissioning, functional testing, and system integration.
Ensure compliance with HSE standards at all times.
Technical Oversight
Review technical documentation, P&IDs;, control logic, and system configurations.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues during startup.
Oversee performance testing and ensure contractual KPIs are achieved.
Interface Management
Act as key interface between engineering, construction, and operations teams.
Support Project Directors in resolving site technical challenges.
Interface with clients during testing and handover phases.
