Location: JRC Joint Research Centre, Italy, around Milano area

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Radiation Protection Technician to join a nuclear environment project.

This is a tempo pieno, on site opportunity for a senior technician with solid hands on experience in radiation protection and operational support within highly regulated nuclear environments.

Key responsibilities

Monitor radiation levels and help ensure the safety of controlled and exposed areas.
Perform area monitoring and radiometric measurements for radiation dose and contamination.
Conduct regular inspections and ensure radiological protection equipment is properly maintained.
Operate instruments used for contamination assessment, including smear test monitors, scintillation detectors, and gamma spectrometry analyzers.




Carry out briefing and debriefing related to ongoing site activities.
Support and train staff on radiological safety procedures and best practices.
Prepare technical documentation related to radiological measurements and monitoring activities.

Candidate profile

Minimum 4 years of operational experience in the nuclear and radiation protection field.
Strong practical knowledge of radiological monitoring and contamination control.
Experience using radiation detection and measurement equipment.
Ability to work accurately and rigorously in a highly regulated environment.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Ability to support operational teams on site and ensure compliance with radiological safety procedures.
