Position Summary:
Data Engineers at Datacolor are responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the data infrastructure that powers our products. This position requires a strong engineer and persistent problem solver, who has a desire to:
- take pride in overall data quality and architecture,
- solve challenging problems around data movement and scale,
- learn new skills as the need arises.
The Data Engineer is an experienced professional who collaborates on a team responsible for data transfers, database architecture, and building the foundation for big data initiatives with an eye toward artificial intelligence. The main duties are to design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines and database systems, support the domain work of the product development teams, and to create and maintain the Microsoft Azure resources that support them, coordinating with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality data products is essential. You report directly to the Software Manager.
