IT Technician
Objectives of the position
The IT Technician’s role encompasses the daily technical support and management of IT resources, focusing on end-user satisfaction, troubleshooting, and system maintenance. This position is pivotal in maintaining the organization’s IT environment.
Key responsibilities
- End-User Support: Provide technical assistance and prompt troubleshooting to end-users for hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal disruption to their work.
- Hardware Maintenance: Maintain, repair, and upgrade desktops, laptops, peripherals, and other hardware equipment as needed.
- Software Support: Install, configure, and update software applications, ensuring proper functionality.
- Network Assistance:
Assist in network configuration and maintenance, resolving connectivity issues.
- Cybersecurity Measures: Assist in implementing and maintaining security measures, including access controls and antivirus software.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory, configurations, and support requests.
- Ticketing System Management: Use the IT ticketing system to efficiently track, prioritize, and resolve technical issues.
- Basic System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and patches.
Requirements
- Proficiency in desktop and server operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of network protocols and configurations.
- Hardware troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Familiarity with software installation, configuration, and updates.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
- Good level of written English p
