You will be the company's key point of reference for privacy and data protection, guiding the business on how to handle data responsibly as we scale. In this role, you will act as a trusted legal advisor to the business across a broad range of legal matters and you will collaborate with cross-functional departments, offering critical insights to drive our company's growth and success. The ideal candidate is a proactive, business-oriented legal professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliMaintain up-to-date knowledge of privacy laws and regulations relevant to the company's business activities (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other applicable US state and international privacy laws), and translate legal requirements into practical guidance for the business /liliSupport the management of data subject requests and privacy incidents /liliConduct legal research, provide strategic advice on business transactions and guidance on legal issues arising from business operations /liliEffective cooperation with the external Data Protection Officer /liliOwn the development and maintenance of privacy policies, notices, and internal data governance practices /liliProactive collaboration and support on compliance processes /liliDraft and review contracts and other legal documentation /liliAssist in developing and improving company policies and procedures /li /ulh3What you have /h3ulliLaw degree from an accredited law school /liliBar admission in Italy is required,
admission in the United States is a plus /liliMinimum 5 years of experience at a law firm or in-house, including exposure to privacy/data protection matters /liliSolid knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR and familiarity with other international frameworks) /liliGood knowledge of technology law /liliAbility to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical advice and solutions /liliStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills /liliExcellent communication skills /liliStrong analytical and research skills, with the ability to make sound legal judgments under pressure /liliFluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken /liliKnowledge of Chinese and Arabic is considered a strong plus /li /ulh3Benefits /h3ulliLearning Friday.
