We want our teachers to be excited to create a positive classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development. /p pbAbout the Opportunity: /b /p pResponsibilities of the Substitute Teacher include to- /p ul liPrepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year /li liDifferentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students /li liMaintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development /li liUtilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction /li liManage student behavior in the classroom /li liCreate a positive classroom environment for students to learn in /li liUtilize school approved curricula that reflects the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students /li liImplement school-wide culture expectations and norms /li liCommunicate and meet with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child /li liIncorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning /li liParticipate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, as needed /li liCollaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues /li liPerform other duties as assigned /li /ul pbAbout You:
/b /p ul liActive and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area - Spanish /li liBachelor’s degree in education or related field /li liHigh level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring /li liExcellent written and verbal communication skills /li liAbility to properly manage confidential information /li liAble to supervise students of various ages in different school settings (playground, cafeteria, etc.) /li liAbility to pass federal and state criminal background checks /li liExperience working within an urban environment /li /ul pbAbout Us: /b /p pHistory /p pFounded in 2001, Constellation Schools grew out of a community’s desire to offer an educational choice that balanced academic achievement with life skills, character education, and social-emotional learning.
