Sluit u bij ons aan en help de wereld draaiende te houden. /p h3Deze functie rapporteert aan: /h3 pChapter Lead /p pAs an RD Senior Engineer, you will leverage your technical expertise to validate and customize OEM single-phase and three-phase low-voltage Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), ensuring they meet the requirements of mission-critical power protection applications and market specifications. /p pReporting to RD Hardware Chapter Lead, based in Quartino Switzerland, you will contribute significantly to initiatives related to ABB’s Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) products /p pThe work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid /p pLocation: Quartino Switzerland /p h3You will be mainly accountable for: /h3 ulliLead technical validation and customization of OEM 1ph and 3ph low voltage Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), as well as batteries and accessories. /liliManage test partners (UL, Intertek, Dekra, Eurofins, etc.) to scope and plan test programs to demonstrate compliance with applicable IEC or UL standards. /liliManage the technical specifications of assigned products and support the Product Manager in developing the business case for product development. /liliDrive root cause analysis and corrective actions related to issues found during qualification testing, as well as issues identified at customer sites. /liliMaintain awareness of state-of-the-art technologies and collaborate with the research center in Switzerland and other ABB stakeholders to identify potential new UPS technologies. /li /ul h3Qualifications for the Role: /h3 ulliMaster’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering,



along with more than five years of professional experience in electrical engineering. /liliMust have experience working with power electronic systems /liliExperience in the use of various measuring equipment in a laboratory environment. /liliKnowledge of product regulations and standards, including IEC and UL. /liliExperience working with external laboratories and certification bodies. /liliKnowledge of ECNs (Engineering Change Notifications), BOMs (Bills of Materials), and documentation systems. /liliExperience with failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). /liliKnowledge of and experience with Agile methodology is an advantage. /liliFluent in English, both spoken and written. /li /ul h3More about us /h3 pABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
