ppbCoho Integrated Solutions /b is seeking a qualified bFamily Advocacy Nurse (FAN) /b to support the Department of the Air Force Family Advocacy Program at Aviano, Pordenone, Italy. The FAN provides comprehensive home-based prevention services to eligible military families who are expecting a child or have children under four years of age, with a primary focus on preventing child and partner maltreatment. /p pThe FAN serves as a member of the multidisciplinary FAP team and provides nursing expertise, case management, education, home visitation, prevention services, and family support. /p pbResponsibilities (include but are not limited to): /b /p ul liProvide comprehensive home-based prevention services to families participating in the New Parent Support Program (NPSP). /li liConduct home visits for NPSP families and provide nursing intervention in accordance with applicable maltreatment plans. /li liPrioritize home visits for high-need and low-need NPSP clients based on established program priorities. /li liProvide case management and coordinate services for assigned NPSP clients. /li liAssess family needs and provide appropriate education, anticipatory guidance, referrals, and support. /li liProvide education regarding child development, nutrition, parenting, attachment and bonding, family health, family violence dynamics, communication, and bereavement. /li liSupport FAP maltreatment cases and participate in multidisciplinary case coordination. /li liParticipate in Clinical Case Staffing, NPSP Case Staffing, Family Advocacy Committee meetings, and other required program activities. /li liCollaborate with the MTF Chief Nurse regarding nursing standards, practice requirements, and integration into the MTF. /li liMaintain current knowledge of maternal, child, family, and family-violence nursing practices. /li liProvide briefings, reports, educational presentations, advocacy, and prevention support. /li liMaintain professional nursing standards and participate in peer review and program compliance activities. /li /ul pbEssential Job Qualifications and Requirements:
/b /p ul libClearance: /b ul liMust be eligible for and maintain required privileging within the Military Treatment Facility /li liMust be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust determination in accordance with applicable contract and government requirements /li /ul /li libEducation, Licensure, and Certifications: /b ul liBachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution /li liMust be a U.S. Registered Nurse (RN) /li liMust maintain a current, unrestricted U.S. state nursing license /li liMust not be under investigation for adverse action by the State Nursing Board Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification /li /ul /li libRequired Experience: /b ul liMinimum of two years of experience as a Community Health Nurse, Maternal Child Health Nurse, or direct experience working with child abuse or domestic abuse /li liExperience conducting home visits is highly encouraged /li /ul /li libPhysical Requirements: /b ul liAbility to travel to client homes and community locations /li liAbility to work in office, clinical, and residential environments /li /ul /li liWork occurs in a combination of office, clinical, community, and client-home environments.
