pProduction Controller /ppbNovara | PE-Backed Manufacturing Group | Plant Controlling | Operations Finance /b /ppThe Business /ppbr/ppWe are partnering with a leading bprivate equity-backed manufacturing group /b with a significant operational footprint in Northern Italy. /ppbr/ppAs the business continues to professionalise its finance function and drive stronger operational performance, they are looking to appoint a bProduction Controller /b to support the manufacturing site in bNovara /b. /ppbr/ppThis is a highly operational finance position, working closely with both the bFinance team and Plant Management /b, with a strong focus on production performance, cost control, efficiency, and margin improvement. /ppbr/ppThe Opportunity /ppThe Production Controller will take ownership of the financial analysis and controlling activities related to the manufacturing operation, providing clear visibility over production costs, variances, efficiency, and profitability. /ppYou will act as a key finance business partner to the plant leadership team, helping to identify performance gaps, improve cost transparency, and support operational decision-making. /ppbr/ppKey responsibilities will include: /pulliOwn and develop bplant and production controlling /b activities for the Novara site. /liliAnalyse bproduction costs, standard costs, actual costs and manufacturing variances /b. /liliMonitor key operational KPIs including blabour efficiency, material usage, scrap, yield, productivity and overhead absorption /b. /liliLead monthly analysis of bactuals vs. budget and forecast /b, explaining key operational and financial variances. /liliSupport the annual bbudgeting and forecasting /b process for the production site. /liliWork closely with Operations, Supply Chain and Plant Management to identify opportunities to improve befficiency, margins and cost control /b.
/liliAnalyse bproduct and customer profitability /b, contribution margins and cost drivers. /liliSupport the development and maintenance of bstandard costing methodologies /b. /liliMonitor inventory levels, stock movements and working capital performance. /liliSupport bCAPEX analysis /b, investment cases and post-investment reviews. /liliProvide management reporting and actionable insights to the local and Group finance teams. /liliImprove controlling processes, reporting tools and data quality across the plant. /liliSupport broader bfinance transformation and performance improvement initiatives /b within the PE-backed group. /li /ulpbr/ppThe Profile /ppThe successful candidate will ideally bring: /pulliPrevious experience in bproduction controlling, plant controlling, industrial controlling or manufacturing finance /b. /liliStrong understanding of bmanufacturing cost structures and standard costing /b. /liliExperience analysing production variances, operational KPIs and profitability. /liliStrong Excel and financial modelling skills. /liliExperience with ERP systems such as bSAP /b would be beneficial. /liliCommercial mindset with the ability to challenge and partner with operational stakeholders. /liliComfortable operating in a bfast-paced, performance-driven environment /b. /liliExperience within a bPE-backed, international or transformation-focused business /b would be advantageous. /liliFluent Italian and strong English communication skills /li /ulpbr/ppWhy Join? /ppThis is an excellent opportunity to join a bPE-backed manufacturing environment /b where finance has a genuine influence on operational decision-making. /ppThe role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders, direct involvement in plant performance improvement, and the opportunity to contribute to the continued professionalisation and value creation of the wider group. /ppbr/ppbLocation: /b Novara, Italy /p
