The role focuses on four priorities: configuration management, product stewardship, continuous improvement, and cross-functional coordination. The position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Program Management, and Product Management while retaining execution ownership within the accountable functions. This role is designed for a strong cross-functional leader who can create structure, decision clarity, and accountability across a complex product environment while supporting product strategy and lifecycle objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for: bConfiguration Management /b /pulliMaintain visibility of product configurations and support controlled alignment across design, manufacturing, and service environments. /liliPrevent unnecessary proliferation of variants and ensure configuration decisions remain documented and traceable. /liliSupport effective change management and configuration control processes. /li /ulpbProduct Stewardship /b /pulliFacilitate decision-making related to product changes, technical issues, quality concerns, serviceability, and operational readiness. /liliEscalate unresolved issues when needed and maintain clear accountability for actions and decisions. /liliEnsure alignment between product objectives and execution activities. /li /ulpbProduct Sustainment Continuous Improvement /b /pulliMaintain and prioritize the portfolio of product enhancement and sustainment initiatives. /liliCoordinate with functional teams to ensure timely execution and closure of approved initiatives. /liliDrive structured continuous improvement activities that enhance product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability. /li /ulpbSimplification Standardization /b /pulliDevelop and coordinate initiatives that improve product efficiency, reduce complexity, and promote standardization. /liliTrack progress, risks, dependencies, and realization of improvement opportunities. /liliFacilitate collaboration across teams to remove barriers to implementation.
/li /ulpbCross-Functional Coordination /b /pulliCreate a unified view of priorities, actions, risks, and decisions across participating functions. /liliEnsure alignment between stakeholders and provide fact-based inputs to support leadership decision-making. /liliPromote clear ownership, communication, and execution discipline across the organization. /li /ulpbFuel your passion /b To be successful in this role you will: /pulliEngineering or supply chain background with experience supporting complex engineered products or systems. /liliExperience with gas turbines, power generation equipment, turbomachinery or long-cycle industrial systems. /liliExperience coordinating cross-functional work across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Program Management, and Product Management. /liliUnderstanding of configuration management, engineering change processes, product lifecycle support, and continuous improvement methodologies. /liliAbility to influence without direct authority and drive accountability across multiple functions. /liliStrong communication, problem-solving, facilitation, and decision-making skills. /li /ulpbPreferred /b /pulliFamiliarity with configuration control, product support processes, quality management practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. /liliExperience supporting industrialization, manufacturing readiness, operational constraints, or field feedback integration. /liliLean, Six Sigma, or equivalent continuous improvement experience. /li /ulpbWhat Success Looks Like /b /pulliClear visibility and control of product configurations and variants. /liliConsistent and timely resolution of product-related decisions and issues. /liliWell-managed portfolio of sustainment and improvement initiatives with clear ownership and strong closure discipline. /liliTransparent pipeline of simplification, standardization, and improvement activities with measurable progress. /liliImproved alignment, communication, and execution across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Program Management, and Product Management functions.
