The role supports the delivery and contribution of departmental and organisational objectives. Responsible for supporting day‑to‑day operations within their area of responsibility, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service, compliance, and performance. Adherence to organisational policies and procedures, effective communication with line management, and a commitment to continuous improvement and inclusive ways of working is essential. /ph3Role Principles /h3ulliAct with integrity, always upholding the highest professional and ethical standards. /liliDrive innovation and change to continuously improve ways of working and outcomes. /liliPursue operational excellence, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. /liliCollaborate inclusively, building strong partnerships to achieve shared goals. /liliMaintain a customer‑focused approach, prioritising the needs of internal and external stakeholders. /liliChampion sustainability by embedding responsible and environmentally conscious practices into everyday work. /li /ulh3Key Responsibilities /h3pRole specific responsibilities: /pulliCentral to the design process, working closely with aerodynamicists, model designers, and full‑size car designers to produce high‑quality, high‑performance surfaces. /liliCollaborate within the development teams to provide comprehensive support for the concept surfacing function. /liliEnsure adherence to standard design practices for surface models issued by the aerodynamics department. /liliPartner closely with aerodynamicists to grasp the definition and requirements of all new surfaces, including modelling and construction approaches. /liliCoordinate with Aerodynamicists and Model Designers to ensure the smooth execution of aerodynamic projects. /liliSupervise and mentor junior aero designer with their contribution to the team activities. /liliDevelop high-quality surface geometry for both CFD Wind Tunnel testing and full-size releases. /liliProvide the design and development direction on all aspects of the company’s Wind Tunnel models. /liliActively contribute to the upkeep of relevant surfacing documentation. /liliSupport the aerodynamicist in the legality checks for the full‑size releases. /liliDirect or undertake CAD tools and macro Ensure all standards required for production.
