With manufacturing, operations and sales, service, and support functions across the globe, your journey at Tennant can take you to places you never expected. /ppbABOUT THE ROLE /b /ppTo strengthen our RD Department, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented bMechanical Engineer – Plastic Components /b who will focus on the design and development of plastic parts and assemblies. /ppIn this role, you will contribute across the full product development lifecycle—from concept to production—working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Production Engineering, Product Certification, and Service. /ppYou will play a key role in ensuring that plastic components meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets, supporting both new product development and continuous improvement initiatives. /ppbGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES /b /pulliDesign and develop mechanical components and assemblies with a focus on plastic parts /liliEnsure designs meet functional,
manufacturing, and cost requirements /liliCreate and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools /liliManage Bills of Materials (BOM) and related data within the PLM system /liliSupport prototyping, testing, and validation activities /liliSelect suitable plastic materials and define appropriate manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding) /liliEnsure compliance with product certification standards and quality requirements /liliPrepare and maintain technical documentation throughout the development process /liliCollaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize design and industrialization /li /ulpbSKILLS EXPERIENCE /b /pulliBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent /liliPrevious experience in mechanical design, with exposure to plastic components (entry-level profiles also considered) /liliGood knowledge of 3D CAD tools (preferably PTC Creo) /liliFamiliarity with PLM systems (Windchill is a plus) /liliUnderstanding of plastic materials and manufacturing processes, especially injection molding /liliFluency in English, both written and spoken /liliStrong analytical and problem-solving skills /liliGood organizational and multitasking abilities /liliProactive, structured, and team-oriented mindset /li /ulpThe offer includes direct employment with the company on a permanent contract, with a gross annual salary ranging from €34,000 to €45,000. /ppThe indicated salary range reflects the expected compensation for the role and is defined based on objective criteria related to the job, including responsibilities, scope, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on factors such as experience, qualifications, demonstrated capabilities, and internal equity.
