Cloud / Platform Engineer – Azure Migration (6-Month Contract)Location: RomeContract Length: 6 MonthsLanguage Requirement: Fluent English (mandatory)We are looking for a hands-on Cloud / Platform Engineer to join a high-impact 6-month migration programme, moving EU assets from Azure UK to Azure Europe.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain Azure infrastructure as code across environmentsBuild and operate AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) clusters, networking, and shared servicesDevelop and manage CI/CD pipelines and GitOps deployment workflows (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions)Implement observability, monitoring, alerting, and operational automationDrive cost optimisation, including autoscaling, right-sizing, and scale-to-zero patternsUse agentic AI tooling as a default engineering approachWork in an iterative, board-tracked flow (Azure DevOps Boards / GitHub Projects)



with peer code reviewsMaintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation as part of definition of doneExperience:Strong hands-on experience in Azure cloud and platform engineering within large organisationsExpertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep)Proven experience with production Kubernetes / AKS environmentsSolid experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practicesStrong scripting and automation skills (e.G.
